Klubi i Basketbollit Bashkimi, also known as K.B. Bashkimi or simply Bashkimi , is a professional basketball team based in Prizren, Kosovo. Bashkimi is the oldest basketball team in Kosovo and competes in the top professional men's basketball league in Kosovo, PrinceCaffe Superliga, since 1991.
History
Klubi i Basketbollit Bashkimi was founded in 1945 in Prizren. It is the oldest basketball team in Kosovo, and one of the oldest in the Balkans. It has traditionally been the most representative sports team of the city of Prizren. Initially competing in the ex-Yugoslavian competitions, Bashkimi was to join the first season of the Kosovo Basketball Superleague in 1991. 2014/15 was the first time Bashkimi participated in an international competition, when the team joined the regional Balkan League.
Der Verein wird von Trainer Darko Radulovic geleitet, einem ehemaligen jugoslawischen Basketballspieler, der für seine Erfolge als Trainer in Südosteuropa bekannt ist. Bashkimi verfügt über einen talentierten Kader mit einer Mischung aus erfahrenen Spielern und aufstrebenden Talenten. Zu den Schlüsselspielern gehören der serbische Guard Stefan Fundic, der bulgarische Forward Stanimir Marinov und der mazedonische Center Goran Samardziev.
Bashkimi ist bekannt für seinen schnellen und unterhaltsamen Spielstil und hat sich in den letzten Jahren als eine der Top-Mannschaften in der Balkan League etabliert. Der Verein hat auch an europäischen Wettbewerben teilgenommen, darunter am FIBA Europe Cup.
Der Verein hat eine starke Fangemeinde in Prilep und im gesamten Balkan und ist zu einem Symbol des Stolzes und der Einheit in der Region geworden. Bashkimi ist bestrebt, weiterhin auf höchstem Niveau zu spielen und Trophäen für seine Fans zu gewinnen.
