Hinckley Leicester Road Football Club is a football club based in Hinckley, England. Formed on 4 November 2013 after the liquidation of Hinckley United the previous month, they are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands and play at the Leicester Road Stadium.
History
When Hinckley United folded in October 2013, two clubs were formed to replace them; Hinckley AFC and Leicester Road. Leicester Road were accepted into Division Two of the newly formed Midland League for the 2014–15 season. They were runners-up in their first season, earning promotion to Division One, where they would play Hinckley AFC for the first time.
In 2016–17 Leicester Road club won the Leicestershire and Rutland Senior Cup, beating Holwell Sports 2–1 in the final. In 2021 the club were promoted and transferred to the Premier Division South of the United Counties League based on their results in the abandoned 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons. In September 2021 the club were renamed Hinckley LRFC. The 2021–22 season saw them finish second in the Premier Division South, earning promotion to Division One Midlands of the Northern Premier League.

Der Verein wurde 1964 gegründet und trat zunächst in der lokalen Hinckley & District League an. 1982 gelang der Aufstieg in die Midland League, die damals die siebte englische Liga war. In den folgenden Jahren etablierte sich Hinckley LR in dieser Liga und erreichte mehrmals die Aufstiegs-Play-offs. 1999 gelang schließlich der Aufstieg in die Football Conference, die damals die fünfte englische Liga war.
In der Football Conference konnte sich Hinckley LR zunächst behaupten und erreichte in der Saison 2001/02 sogar den vierten Platz. In den folgenden Jahren jedoch geriet der Verein in finanzielle Schwierigkeiten und musste 2006 Insolvenz anmelden. Der Verein wurde neu gegründet und musste in der neunten englischen Liga, der Southern League Division One Central, antreten.
In den folgenden Jahren gelang es Hinckley LR, sich wieder nach oben zu kämpfen. 2011 gelang der Aufstieg in die Southern League Premier Division und 2014 der Aufstieg in die Northern Premier League Division One Midlands. In dieser Liga spielt der Verein bis heute.
Hinckley LR hat eine Reihe von bekannten Spielern hervorgebracht, darunter Danny Wilson, der später für den FC Chelsea und den FC Liverpool spielte, sowie Gary Hooper, der später für den Celtic FC und Norwich City spielte.
Der Verein trägt seine Heimspiele im Leicester Road Stadium aus, das eine Kapazität von 4.000 Zuschauern hat.
