Police Football Club is an association football club based in Kigali, Rwanda and currently competes the Rwanda Premier League.
History
Police FC was founded 2000 by the Rwanda National Police (RNP). The club won 2003 the Championnat National de 2e Division and was promoted in the Rwanda National Football League. In 2011 and 2012, Police FC were runners up of the Rwanda National Football League. The first win followed 2015 with winning of the Rwandan Cup and 2016 lost in the final of the cup,
Der Police Football Club, kurz Police FC, ist ein ruandischer Fußballverein aus Kigali. Der Verein wurde 1989 als Polizei-Sportverein gegründet und ist seit 2003 in der ersten ruandischen Liga vertreten.
Heimspiele trägt der Police FC im Amahoro-Stadion in Kigali aus. Die Vereinsfarben sind blau und weiß.
Der Police FC ist einer der erfolgreichsten Vereine in Ruanda und konnte bisher fünfmal die ruandische Meisterschaft gewinnen. Außerdem gewann der Verein dreimal den ruandischen Pokal.
International nahm der Police FC bisher zweimal am CAF Confederation Cup teil. In der Saison 2015/16 erreichte der Verein die Gruppenphase, schied dort aber als Letzter seiner Gruppe aus. In der Saison 2017/18 schied der Police FC bereits in der ersten Runde gegen den malawischen Verein Nyasa Big Bullets aus.
