Wikipedia - Formartine United

Der Formartine United Football Club, kurz Formartine United, ist ein schottischer Fußballverein aus Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire. Aktuell (Stand 2014) spielt er in der Highland Football League. Der Verein wird vom ehemaligen Spieler von Manchester United Steve Paterson trainiert. Der Verein trägt seine Heimspiele im 2.500 Plätze umfassenden North Lodge Park aus.

History

Der Verein wurde am 15. März 1948 in einer Schule in Pitmedden gegründet. Als erster Präsident fungierte A. Rennie. Bereits kurze Zeit später wurde der Verein in die Aberdeenshire Amateur Football Association aufgenommen, die im Jahr 1947 entstanden war. Das erste offizielle Ligaheimspiel wurde am 8. August desselben Jahres im heimischen North Lodge Park gegen die Cove Rangers ausgetragen. Seit 2009 spielt der Verein in der Highland Football League.

North Lodge Park
Formartine United ist ein schottischer Fußballverein aus Pitmedden nahe Aberdeen. Der Spitzname des Vereins ist The Formies und sie spielen ihre Heimspiele im North Lodge Park in Pitmedden. Der Club wurde 1883 gegründet und spielt in der Highland Football League, der höchsten Amateurliga in Schottland. Formartine United hat den Scottish Cup zweimal gewonnen, 1937 und 2017. Der Club hat auch den League Cup einmal gewonnen, 2018. Formartine United ist einer der erfolgreichsten Vereine in der Highland Football League und hat den Titel 14 Mal gewonnen.
